This beautiful, naturally sculpted stone was formed by retreating glacial deposits and found along the banks of lakes and rivers in Canada, Greenland, Britain, and Scandinavia. Fairy Stones have been used around the world as lucky charms and to provide protection.
The Algonquin Tribe of Northern Quebec have prized this sweet stone for generations, and were the ones to coin the name we use today. Pieces were carried on hunting or foraging trips to ensure good luck, prosperity, and a safe return, and large specimens were kept in the home to protect it and those within from harmful spirits.
